Open Heart Square: New Year's City in the City!

From December 12th 2011 to January 20th 2012

Open Heart Square at the Republika Square is a new event whose main goal is to create a recognizable holiday atmosphere in the city center, modeled according after European capitals such as Vienna, Budapest, etc. It will include tastefully decorated wooden cottages, grouped in a manner symbolizing a small city square.From December 12th 2011 to January 20th 2012 at the main city square, these cottages will sell the place to buy various winter and holiday inspired products: cookies, cooked wint, hot chocolate, tea, etc. The event will also have a humanitarian character: in cooperation with representatives of the Belgrade City Assembly, all proceeds from the sale of the Open Heart City holiday cup will be donated to kindergarten Vesna in Padinska skela, for the purchase of specialized teaching aids for children with disabilities.

Also planned is a small stage to be located at the center of the square, offering a music program on the weekends. The program will be aimed at children and youth (child choirs, magician, pop music performers, etc.).
